As we begin to leave summer behind and ease into fall, its time to get inspired with some fall decorating ideas for your home.
I love summer, but I think fall is my favorite! I enjoy the cooler nights, sunny days and a welcome back to routine.
Decorating your home for fall can be quick and easy. Use what you have in your cupboards or repurpose what you have to give a warm and cozy look.
Focus on these 3 key areas :
1.An eye-catching table centerpiece. Bring in bits of nature, mini pumpkins, driftwood, plants, stones, moss, branches, flowers, shells. Add in cozy textiles, linen, a piece of velvet, or knits. Change up your cushions and throws to knits, velvets, plaid. Bring in an upexpected colour this fall, caramel, cognac, cinnamon, mustard yellow are everywhere.
2.The fireplace mantle is another perfect spot to set the stage for fall. Candles, lean a piece of driftwood or art, tall twigs, books or a plant can give a natural look.
3. The entry sets the stage for everyone entering the home. Set up baskets to catch clutter, new mat for inside and outside, dish/bowl full of beach finds from the summer, maybe a fresh coat of paint, lamp for entry table? Seasonal outdoor planters really make a statement, utilizing a small tree or plant from the garden and adding colourful mums, grasses, ferns, ivy and pansies make a taller, more striking impression.
I will be working on my space in the coming weeks and enjoying pumpkin spiced drinks, muffins, along with fall dinner recipes. What are your fall ideas?
Wishing you a healthy, happy and safe fall.
